Probably needs a little more work, but I think I've polished it up for Peer Review standard

Looking good, MJ. I only found a couple of things you might want to look at:
typos (the only thing I'm ever good at catching, I'm afraid)
including Thomas Rogers son Rogers' son
copious amounts of gin, made from the orchard's stand of juniper trees, was consumed were consumed
The Staples family began accepting summer tourist boarders in 1837 with other hotels opened later in the 1800s "and other hotels opened" or "with other hotels opening"...
Or an entire bucket... bucketful
Just out of curiosity, what made the original goo-gin gooey?

Thanks for those Wilma
I've fixed up what you found and added a bit about the why goo-gin was gooey (this of course may be somewhat of an urban legend...)

It's not clear to me why 'Googins Rocks' has quotes around it, unless they have another name that's official.
Interesting article, nice save.

I know the Goo-gin is a bit of a made up legend, but I think it adds something to the Entry, does the Footnote explain it properly (as in the fact it's bumph)?

MJ, the footnotes are humourous, and (I think) add to the entry - the only one I find a little laboured is the fifth one - perhaps a bit too long? not enough to be too concerned about - it certainly does not detract...

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
