[Q] Why has it made false prophecies?
[A] The wording of the old King James Bible has lead to misunderstanding what to expect. (For example it reads end of the world were it should read end of system of things)

[Comment] The prophecies are still false, as JWs have predicted the End several times in the past, on dates which have now gone. Haven't they?

[Q] Why has it altered the translations of the bible?
[A] Reason as above

[Comment] You have claimed that the JW translation is "perfect" and "from the originals". Where are these originals? How was the punctuation decided upon, given that original Hebrew contained none?

[Q] Why does the Watchtower say you will fall into apostasy if you read the bible with out the Watchtower?
[A] Unless a person understands how the Kingdom was set up they are not able to understand the meaning of prophecies. Only Jehovah's witnesses have any understanding of when this event took place and how it took place, most other religions are locked into tradition.

[Comment] Where did this extra information come from? Why is the authority of the anonymously-authored Watchtower placed higher than "God's word"?

[Q]Why are you not allowed to read the bible by itself in the kingdom hall?
[A] A false surmise, only the bible is read in one section of today’s ministry school, and three or four chapters commented on during the meeting.

[Comment] Your own answer is false, since you have just said that the bible is "commented on". Since the only legitimate comments on the bible (for JWs) come from Watchtower, you must be using Watchtower at the same time.

[Q] Why does the watchtower organization appear to take the place of Jesus?
[A] It does not.

[Comment] It certainly appears to, since no man may achieve heaven except through the organisation.

[Q] Why are you not allowed to examine your own organization?
[A] Is actively encouraged that a person is fully aware of what the history of the society is because the history is in harmony with many bible prophecies. So knowing the history builds up a person’s faith

[Comment] You are not answering the question. To be "aware of the history" is not the same as "examine". "Examine" means question, and questions imply doubt in the organisation, which is not allowed by JWs.

[Q] Why does it tell you what to think and do?
[A] It shows you what Gods thoughts are on a matter from Gods word, then it is up to you.

[Comment] Other religions allow their members to communicate with God directly, through prayer and revelation. Why do JWs block this personal relationship?

[Q] If the doctrines have changed before what is to stop them changing now?
[A] Jehovah’s people move in harmony with Jehovah’s will so will keep in harmony with that will for our day. (Matthew 7: 21) A JW is not held in slavery to tradition but will keep on the watch for new light on scripture

[Comment] In other words, they will change, at the whim of Watchtower, to ensure that they stay in power, unquestioned by the membership.

[Q] How can a JW be sure what he is believing now, will not change in the future?
[A] As above

[Comment] As above.

Can blood save your life? smiley - redwine

Has any one had their life saved by blood?

Did the ruler of the universe say he would provide that which would save your life?

Did he?

When you are happy with the answers to these questions you will not need to wonder about the miss use of blood.

How can some one that believes in evolution appreciate that there is some one that knows better? James

"Can blood save your life?"

> Yes.

"Has any one had their life saved by blood?"

> Yes

"Did the ruler of the universe say he would provide that which would save your life?

Did he?"

> If anybody owns up to this mess we call "Earth", I'll ask him. Until then, humanity has always provided for itself.

"When you are happy with the answers to these questions you will not need to wonder about the miss use of blood."

> In this context, the only mis-use is a refusal to use.

"How can some one that believes in evolution appreciate that there is some one that knows better? James"

> Are you claiming you know better, James? You, who thinks you can fly faster than light in an aluminium ball powered by diodes? You, who refuses to understand evolution? You, who predicted the World would end six months ago?

Pull the other one, James, it's evolving bells.

When man thinks that space travel can be achieved by shooting an oversized firework into the air I suppose he can also believe that evolution is a reality.

With philosophies like that being taught, what hope is there of getting them to make real scientific progress? James
