The Orange Kids are having a party.

Bring your water, pack lots of blankets, and set your odometer! Last time a weekend started that way I came back cold, hungry, sleepy, and broke something on the car. So why did I instantly agree to this? Not the loud repeatative electronic music, I don't use drugs, they don't drink, no creature comforts, so I must like the company. God help me.

BECAUSE I am willing to go spend a perfectly good weekend in some hills somewhere with no warm food (we can't have any campfires), no pumbing, no shade durnig the hot days, no heat during the cold nights, no soft bed, no sleep (I've been to parties that went from 10pm to 4pm the next day), no quiet, no lyrics (the group consists of 75% DJs and I've learned about things called House, Trance, Jungle, Happy Hardcore, and actual songs are rare stuff). Meanwhile, I spent several hours in the sun today and my back is a pretty rose bronze color (and a lot of my front too).
Unfortunately for me, these are people I like to be with. I fully expect to come back on Sunday in really bad shape.

I got back. I wasn't in good shape though. The party was a secret because it was "underground" and SOMEONE blabbed so the feds were there and before it was over this weekend went from Kern, through Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, before ending up in Riverside County. Something like 400 miles round trip. I got two hours sleep the first night, 30 minutes the second night, and had a great time. The nice thing about it turning into an Odyssey is it weeds out the inferior types and you end up with a smaller party but only hardcore people are with you. I am hardcore, or so I've been told.
I've just had twelve hours sleep and I'm on my way to get a cup of coffee, so I'm all better now.

yes ofcourse there has to be more to life, the resurrection hope held out in the bible proves that is more. For if God is going to go to all that bother of resurrecting us, He obviously must have something grander and finer and more wonderful in mind for us than the distractions that we fill our lives with now.
so there

zzzzzzz....** err, snerk? um. er wha? I'm sorry, I musta dozed off there. You were saying there's something about something but I'm not sure what it was.
As for me, I've lived a safe and sane life, steadfastly avoiding anything illegal and/or remotely dangerous. Since I tend to hang out with the rowdies, that cut out a lot of the things my friends were doing. Meanwhile 99% of my buddies who just went out and had fun like normal people are as alive and well as I am, or better!
Once I figured out that there definitely is life after death, and most likely many more than one life to live per person, I decided to have fun already (or at least attempt). I'll try not to kill myself. My little bro died in a car crash and losing another kid would cause my folks much pain, but you'd be horrified to hear how cautious a life I've lead. Last year I read somewhere something about refusing to tiptoe though life only to arrive safely at death.
I realized that's what I've been doing. I decided to stop it already so I went to the party had a good time and only did a few illegal things and I'm sure most of them weren't felonies. Still the new loosened up me was the most uptight person for miles around.
Bottom line? This is going to take a while and these people are just the ones to push me along.

I think there are many lives per person. Some before, some after this life. I'm not trying to convert you to my way of thinking. I'm a very bad Catholic/Christian in that regard. I don't evangelize. I also don't like it when others evangelize at me.
I don't know what God said to you on the subject, but he's led me to believe we are immortal, that we are each here to learn, that those who leave this life before us remain near and are available to help us, that we have to be open to that assistance, we have to dilligently care for those who can't care for themselves, like children, the elderly, animals, and the meek and weak in general.
I don't have to prove anything to you. If you don't like what I say, just stop reading my diary! Sheesh.
