Hi Harry. Good to see you here. There's a great entry in h2g2 about Air Guitar. I hope you've been practising.

Oh yes, good article. When I took up guitar in my mid-twenties it was partially due to a continuing urge to hold my left hand out beside me and wave my right hand around in front of me (I've just read that again and it looks a bit iffy, but I'll leave it for its double entendre value). I've found that that sort of behaviour is a lot more acceptable if you're holding a sturdy wood and metal contraption.

What a coincidence! I used to hold my left hand out beside me and wave my right hand around in front of me too. I wasn't playing guitar though...I was directing traffic. Odd, no?

I wonder how many traffic jams have been prevented by people playing air guitar in the middle of the road.
