I must say this article is highly diggable, but it seems to be very much a simplified and somewhat superficial (due to its brevity)overview. It could benefit from some organization, perhaps with subheadings for things like Tribal, Traditional, Modern, Marching, even Electronic...
More details would only enhance the entry, methinks, some that came to mind being:

- a 'typical' drumkit (as if there is such a thing...at least an attempt though, like "A standard five-piece kit might be comprised of a bass drum, a snare drum, two mounted toms, and one floor tom as well as other percussion doo-dads and cymbals.")

- perhaps some coverage of shamanic use of drums

- a few more legendary drummers on the list (where are Buddy Rich? John Bonham?)

All in all, as I said, a rip-roarin' good entry... But it could easily include more good information.
