way back, i was helping out a guy with the writing of an entry of extreme importance... for some reason when he started the entry i was listed as a contributer/researcher and he as the editor and therefore i couldn't actually edit the entry... and now he is gone, and the project is not done. i'm just curious if there's a way i could still get access and finish it myself... i wasn't sure whom to ask about this. help?

The easiest way to do this is just to make a copy of the entry.
If you use the test function - take the URL for the entry and replace the A in the number with test (http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/testXXXXXX) - then you'll have the GuideML code. Simply copy and paste it into a new entry.
