Pi? or Pi?
DoctorGonzo Started conversation Sep 19, 2001
Hello there - this is a quick question on style. If this isn't the right place to ask such questions, would you be able to point me in the right direction, for future reference?
When talking about Pi, should I use the symbol, or the word Pi? Also, how should I refer to the film, most reviews seem to use the word, but the video case has the symbol - any idea which I should use?
Ta in advance,
DG

Hi DoctorGonzo,
When referring to pi in a sentence (like that), use the lower-case word (like I did).
When using it in an equation, use the HTML entity: π (don't forget that semicolon!)
When refering to the film, use Pi in your entry, but 'Pi' (with those quotes) in the entry title, as we can't use tags in titles yet.
Ok?
