A Conversation for Testosterone

Women today hate testosterone yobs right? Well not according to evolution. You see the fun thing is that the more testosterone a man has then there more pronounced male features he'll have (the George Cluney jaw and big features etc), it'll also make them more aggresive / yobbish.
Now the interesting bit is that testosterone is an immunosuppressor - i.e. the more you have, then the more chance that individual has of getting ill and dieing. Now this means that women can just tell by looking at a male how much testosterone he has - and the more he has that means he must be a very 'fit' individual to have lived so long....Therefore he'll father really strong kids, which biologically speaking is all anyone cares about.

The age old 'mid life crisis' in men. The get this sudden burst, and so they decide to do 'manly' things. Turns out though, that because of this huge amount of testosterone they start going bald (like my namesake in Babylon 5). When the testosterone runs out, they turn out to be bald old men.

Well this may not be true, but it does have its merits

Isn't it just that the high testosterone men die young, racing their Escort XR3 i on the M4 or risking their necks on dangerous sports? Biggest cause of mortality in young men is accidental death. So the ones who live to father children are either smart, or just lucky!

I think I would have to agree with you there

Maybe it's just the people who aren't so insecure that survive. Those who don't feel that they need to be part of the pack or the group. Those who don't need to drive around in their souped up penile extensions to try and compensate for a lack of something. Those who realise that it actually doesn't really matter what somebody thinks about you as long as you feel good.

Maybe that was too philosophical and this is too late.

Um, well I would disagree with you about your view. I have been quiet insecure about life for a few years, and I am now 24 and still with out a license (I am working on that). I actually feel more secure about life, and actually find driving around great. Maybe I was never 'apart of the pack' as you say

I dunno -- it seems like all young men have the desire to go racing around in souped up cars and stuff like that -- it's more about the opportunity than the testosterone -- testosterone is the stuff that makes us drool when we see pretty women walk by. There are a lot of crazy things that people do because they're just crazy things to do.

Souped up cars? Most of the younger set that I have known would rather have a souped up computer than a car.

I can remember the dayz when a snazzy car was the only reason (except for maybe one) a guy had for living!

Down with women that fancy bullies. They just support abuse.
