I am a newbie too. I live in england which is an island.

We ahev lots of interesting things happening here. At the moment we have the tennis at Wimbledon-will pistol pete smapras outgun every one again or will andre agassi wow the ladies and the players and win through.

Our island is 94,000 suare miles has 57, 540,000 people and growing, the ethnic population is 6%. I enjoy running, yoga, mountain biking, listening to good music, eating out and oh yes writing in people's journals. I am also on the opendiary.com handle bornagainrunner.

england is nice; i've been there twice. once when i was wandering about aimlessly, looking very confused (and justly so), a very nice british stranger asked if i needed help finding something. i thought that was kind.

i live in hawaii. i don't know all the technical information about hawaii. i do know that it is beautiful, and the weather is amazing.

i hate to run, but i do so because my job requires it. my hats off (if i wore a hat) to those that love it. my dad runs 26-mile marathons, and he can have that.

...what is good music?

I like lots of different music.Chopin and Rachmaninov. Bob Marley, Rolling Stones, Beatles, some of Madonna's stuff. Moody Blues, Moloko, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Neneh Cherry,

i like a little of everything, too. ...except for country music and most opera. i can't seem to "get into" those.

Although you say you do not like Opera I think you would like Madam Butterfly.

I like running as your brain does a sort of meditation especially if you rung long distances. I am about 60 lbs heavier than I was at my peak in my early 20's so I am much slower now.

I also love YOga, but do not have the discipline to do it everyday.
