Granny, IMHO, a good start but it needs filling out a bit more. What's the best way to get there? Is there any historical stuff that happened in the area? Wars, battles etc Those type of things.

A war in Borth!
Not likely
There is a war memorial to a crashed fighter plane if I remember righly.
Maybe a mention of things to do. eg The animalarium, The golf course that takes up most of the space between Borth itself and ynslas.
Maybe something of the rapidly degrading cliffpath between Borth and Aberystwyth (via Clarach where I spent most of my summers when I was a little younger and happen to be going for the first time in about three years this weekend)
I'll see what else I can think up when I get back

Hiya Acheron,
Give my love to Clarach will you, I'm not going to be down there until the end of May & I've got a bad dose of hiraeth.
Thanks both of you for your comments, I've got a revised entry to post later today.

A nice little entry, but I agree with the others, you need to put some more info in. I'm looking forward to reading the revised edition. Maybe I'll visit Borth next time I'm in the area, it sounds like a nice place
Also, entries look far better when done in GuideML. You can get a guide to using GuideML at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/GuideML-Clinic
Hope that helps

Again, many thanks, this item is now under review. I think that it may now stretch to three or more entries!!

I wouldn't say three or four, but quite close to one. This could be precisely "1" if the 'Under Review' remark in the title eventually vanished

I'd like to add a link to some photos of the area. Can anyone tell me where the best place to hold the photos is. At the moment they're on the site of an online developer. Should I link directly?

Monsignore Pizzafunghi Bosselese Posted Jun 14, 2001
I've just answered to that 'photo link' question at the other place.
As to your entry, you might add the piece about the golf place, but anyway - I'd say it is ready for the Guide

Nice article about a lovely place (I did my A-level biology field trip there!), but a couple of things:
Rather than using bold type for headers, actually using the tag would make the article look nicer and easier to read.
"south end of the village. ." two full stops.
You could mention the amusing staff of the youth hostel - the chef who looks like Meatloaf (and serves the stuff), Jasmine the manageress who does T'ai C'hi on the beach...
No, that's completely irrelevant, but funny.

Thanks for the positive comments, I'll amend the typos and add a little about the golf links and try the HEADER tag thing. This is a real learning curve for me, great isn't it.
Coming from the area, I've never stayed at the YH, either with relatives or as my family got too big & noisy in a caravan. It sounds like I've missed a lot.
Bossel, thanks for the advice on photo links, I've reluctantly decided to omit them from this entry and wait untill we can do something. It may be some time! Tonight I promise, the under review WILL be removed.

Granny, you may want to add some links to related h2g2 Edited Guide entries. One that springs to mind is beach cricket. This is how you link to it.

Ausnahmsweise, wie üblich (Consistently inconsistent) Posted Jun 15, 2001
I'm confused - but that's easily done.
The title is Borth, Dyfed, but the text mentions only Borth and Ynyslas. Are all three of them separate villages? Maybe you could explain this for the reader?
And you might consider helping the reader with the pronunciation of these Welsh place names.
