Awoke full of ideas for new songs and keen to listen back to the previous nights recordings. Liked most of what I heard and am confident enough in the other stuff to know I can make them work. My favourite so far is 'The Sound Of Wichita', named after the record company who will put out Brave Captain records, it sounds like everything I wanted my previous band, The Boo Radleys, to sound like but I couldn't quite pluck it from the air.
Had an idea for a song about my parents-in-law who I love but because my French is crappy and their English non-existent I never get a chance to get to know them properly, toyed with the idea of writing it in French and, because my wife was out, searched for a translating site on the web, came across the Babel Fish, discovered h2g2 and spent the next few hours looking through this.
Recieved e-mail from Mike Watt (formerly of The Minutemen and fIREHOSE who recorded the song 'Brave Captain') who has agreed to do the sleevenotes for the first album. Result.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
