From my freshman year of HS yearbook:
"In french class you were the only one who would listen to me or at least LOOK at me and pretend to listen."
I can't even begin to imagine what that must feel like... It makes me sad.

There is one comment like that in my senior yearbook.
Trouble is, I made comments like that in a couple of peoples books as well. I know both sides of this feeling.

You had a freshman yearbook?

Well, I would guess so - my high school gave me one yearbook, my graduating year, two days before my graduation. In it were the photos of the graduating class (among the rest of the yearbook stuff); no freshmen, no sophomores, no juniors, no seniors-who-didn't-graduate, in fact. 'Course, my knowledge of yearbook mandates is only of my school and the schools nearby, which tended to be similar...

In Utah, you can purchase a yearbook each year. In fact I had one in middle school and in the 6th grade as well.
How large was the school which you attended?

My yearbook was like yours, NYC, but mine is from the dark ages.
Since then, the schools have found that they can make $$$ selling the yearbooks to undergrads, too. This year, my daughter's yearbook has the seniors and sports/band in color and undergrads and clubs in black and white.

My school was about 2400 students. The yearbook I bought was $70 outright, and in full black and white. I don't think I could've afforded pics of all the lowerclassmen, that's for sure. =p

Wow...
My school was 3800 or thereabouts, and I think that the cost on the yearbooks was something like $30. With B&W and colour photos.

My daughter's school has about 1600 students. The book cost $80.00 this year.
