Having just built a rat cage, I now know that rats are a cause of such illnesses as sore thumbs and aching back. As I write, one rat has just discovered the art of swinging from the netting at the top of the cage. Rats are better than television, and unlike the Internet do not incur phone bills.

And wait until they've discovered your phone wire! Rats have got a nasty habit of chewing things that are a pain to replace.
