h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

... that I added a journal entry from the US. I've been here for two weeks so far and have been doing some travelling along the coast, some wandering around San Francisco, lots of sleeping and not enough eating.

I've watched two friends get tattoos, learnt to drive in the Netscape parking lot, saw "The Phantom Menace" and "The Spy Who Shagged Me" and didn't think much of either, saw lots of pretty coastline, slept in the rental car and met lots of nice people. And it's good to be back with Quinn again.

So far, I've only had enough time online to read mail, and I refuse to give more money to Kinko's this year. Should have more time online when I get to Portland.

However, I have gathered enough observations and hatred for an entry or two - see my user entries.

a lot bloody harder when you have to pack for everybody else. My daughter is going to cape cod on monday to stay with my brother. I have to pack for her and then for my son at scout camp and then for us on our own holiday. Meanwhile my daughter managed to pour superglue over her hands and stick them together. She unscrewed the entire thing and spilt it. Yet another evening in casualty.

Bloody hell. It never rains but it pours, as they say.
Can't any of these blighters pack for themselves?
