Oh as for , its a Babel Fish, you know as in:

Hi FC, depends when, what with work, etc. But if i'm free, i'm up for it. Also some of those people further north than London, might make the trip too.

any ideas about how to organise it etc... and making sure people know about it?? Letter to the Post?

I think first of all, we need to find out if a few people would be up for it first. Then we would probably ask somebody like Peta to post a notice, and gauge the reaction, to it. Decide on a date and a venue, get that posted and then see who turns up! I'll have a think and get back to you

Heard any more drunken ramblings from Si at the mudfest?

I just cant concentrate on revising at the mo... so I came online. terrible I know, but hey! tough. I'll just fail and then resit in september....

no more drunken ramblings from Si, though i did get an email from him... apparently there's a computer bit in the field with a load of computers (surprisingly!) and he found it... so that was nice...

though i'm kinda worried about his horoscope (yes, i do check them, no i dont totally believe in them, but it still is disturbing...)

Afternoon all! Is this the "tentative, vague plans for a Scottish h2g2 get-together" forum?

hehe... no. just i missed the one in London by a few weeks, and would love to get to see people in RL... so, knowing Babel was from fife, asked what he thought about it.... advice would be most helpful (cos i've never organised anything before....!)

I don't think you need to worry, especially just now, but it would warrant a good old chat when he gets back. Anyway, I have just left a message for someone on here who is from Falkirk, re a meet-up IRL, and if i remember correctly there are one or two more out there.
Someone from Gigha, (off west coast, small island), and someone from Aberdeen. i will need to look back in all my old fora for their names though. Somewhere else to look would be 'Where are our researchers From' fora. Will do that when I get a chance. Then we can drop a line to those who are still active

That's what I was just explaining to FC, (I had that in mind, trying to get someone official). We need to get a few people to commit first before we start broadcasting and getting TPTWVH involved.
Happen to know anyone else on here, that's up here?

I didn't know you were from Falkirk EV! Gah! every christmas I always went there... my bro used to be into trains, and thats when the falkirk thing is held, around xmas time.... Gosh... brings back memories!!!
