Secrets run ramoant in my life. I have secrets, my friends have secrets, my parents and assorted relatives have secrets. You'd think that my knowledge of these would nullify their status as secrets, but apparently not. When this occured to me I thought long and hard about what makes a secret. I realized it is not so much our ability to conceal something from others but their respect for our desire to have certain facts kept out of the discussion pool. That is, my never revealing my knowledge of your secret to you is as important to its life as a secret as your desire to keep it one. Your sense of security (I wonder if those words are related "secret" and "security"?) is preserved and that is what secrets are all about. They are more for your security than to protect the masses, but that is another entry, another story to be told another time.

Hi Sara,
You're right on with the secrets bit. I've always thought that, too, but never realized it until you put it to words..
I just moved to Burlington, too. And just started at H2G2 as well, for that matter. Welcome to town!

Well...I grew up in the Northeast Kingdom. Then I went to school. Then I graduated. Then I didn't know what I was going to do, so I came here since I knew this was a happening place. That's basically it. I love it so far. I'm thinking about getting a band together, but I don't have any other members-- maybe you'll fulfill one of your goals yet!

That's always such a difficult question to answer. I, like most everyone, like mostly everything. I especially dig U2, Eels, Tom Petty, etc. (I'm more of a 104.7 kind of guy than a 99.9 or 92.9 kind of guy, if that tells you anything.)
I like to play all kinds of music, too. I've played jazz, funk, rock, high-school garage metal...
So, basically, everything.
