Yesterday I also popped into the Brunel Museum at Rotherhithe.
It is a small museum using what was the pumping station for the Thames Tunnel, which of course was the first cross river tunnel ever constructed.
Started by Marc Brunel and later worked on by his son Isambard, the Tunnel nearly killed both of them.
The Tunnel is now part of the East London Line so there is no access to the tunnel proper except for the view when you are waiting on the platforms at Rotherhithe and Wapping.
The Grand Entrance hall can be accessed as part of Organized Trips, which means I will have to go back on another day to see that.
