Hmmm... Personally, I think it would be better in the Post than as an EG entry. Admittedly, we do have some "personal experience" pieces in the EG, but I think this goes beyond that, into "string of personal anecdotes and opinions".
Also, a lot of the information in the other "personal experience" EG pieces is rather more generalizable than this is -- i.e., with the piece on being a bone marrow donor, a lot of the information would apply regardless of where you were. With this piece, I can tell you as someone who's been on forearm crutches in different towns, that it varies *hugely* from place to place, in terms of what services are available, or what you have to do in order to be able to access those services. That does make this not a good entry, it just makes it more personal and less generalizable -- hence, in my opinion, more suited for some place like the Post, and less suited for the EG.
