A Conversation for Google

Google Bar

A quite wonderful ap that Google has made available is the Google Bar. It sits resident in your tools area of IE (or even Windows Explorer if you do so choose) and you can search at any time. I highly recommend it if you find yourself doing more than five searches a day (note: it uses very little system resources and you can't even notice a decrease in speed on a 300MHz machine).

And there are many extra features on the toolbar that not many people know about.

If you click on the Google logo on the bar and select Toolbar Options then you can add a number of useful buttons that allow to search some of Google's other services - such as image search and Google groups search - directly from the toolbar.

An interesting recent addition is back and forward search navigation buttons that allow you to jump to the next or previous result from the last search you performed. At the time of posting these are available at [Broken link removed by Moderator]or through the Google logo toolbar button.

Pokey the Penguin

there is also the not-so-famous [Broken Link Removed By Moderator] which was initially slated for use in Internet Explorer's search pane, but works quite well for Mozilla, PDA's, and just about ANY other device that needs a "lighter" google (is that even possible?).
