A Conversation for Violence in the Welsh Language

Ear-Boxing

It's a question of language perspective. Some languages might have a specific word, others might have a specific phrase.

English contains the term 'to box his ears' which is specific - you might box as an activity but you don't box arms, legs, heads, etc., only ears. It is however, a phrase and not a word.

In Welsh you don't use a phrase like 'box a bonclust' and in English you don't use a word like 'ear-box' but the specific concept is referred to in both languages. It's just a different way of doing it.
