Hello, Dave. My name is Huw and as a Welshman I can tell you (a) there are plenty of nice English people and (b) there are plenty of Welsh gits! The trick is to find the nice ones wherever you are.
I am sorry to hear of your illness. A friend of mine caught cancer some 4 years ago at age 25. He went through a tough time but is now not only totally fine but a father to boot. I'm not qualified to give you advice as my worst ever illness was Chickenpox, but you have my best wishes.
I personally remember that however long my life ends up being on a calendar I will have had one complete lifetime. And it's all apparently free (at least I don't remember paying for it - hell, I don't even remember ordering it in the first place!).
Good luck,
Huw

Cheers mate, appreciate the sentiment and its quite exciting getting a post to my entry - wahey!
Everything you say is right, especially about life being worthwhile living you have put a smile on my face and a spring in my step despite the fact i have spent most of the last 24hrs throwing up.
You're right about the nice English people, i live there/here and i certainly love my friends dearly. I think any pretence at jingoism only really applies to rugby which having been influenced by my father at a young age have since suffered countless defeats and relentless tauntings from friends. This does however mean i can be the only one laughing heartily when england crash out of euro 2000 in a blaze of mediocrity - ha ha!! (May have to change my entry hadn't realised how rascist it looks, am not a complete t**t, honest!)
Cheers,
Dave
