Excuse my ignorance but why has H2G2 chosen the 69 symbol? Have I missed
something along the way?I know it's the starsign symbol for cancer and an interesting position in bed...

Look closer. It's actually an 'h' and a 'g' And there are two 2s in there as well.
The title on the front page uses the same characters. It should be more obvious if you bear that in mind.

When you are at your homepage it will say in the location u666 or whatever change that to u69 and you get to shenerd, just like jim is u6 and Bono is U2!

It's the other Richard - Richard Harris. Richard Creasey is U76 and not a beast at all. Definitely not.

Jim,
as the Guide progresses I can imagine that somebody might
write a better article on a subject than the one you already have approved.
Would you combine the two or throw out the old one? A contencious
question I know but its my job...

We could do anything. Supercede the old one, combine two together or start a collection. For example, we've had a lot of submitted articles about Computers, all of which are as valid as each other - they're all vaguely amusing, some more than others. So which one do we pick? The only sensible answer is to pick them all, and either combine them into a huge long article or create an article referring to the other pages.
This is all the kind of thing that our new Editor will be thinking hard about. It's my job to make sure he's got the tools to do whatever is necessary.
