Does h2g2 presently have capabilities to send private messages, and if so, how? If not, why not?

The private messages which the dna sub-sites acquired (many upgrades ago now) were added on the ican (now called actionnetwork) sub-site. Though the forums and threads actually appeared on the sub-site to which people's personal spaces belonged originally. So they were sort of on h2g2 in many cases, despite apparently not being intended to be an h2g2 feature.
