I was just wondering, what was the first outside researcher number given and who has it?

10130 is the earliest number I can find. But the order isn't necessarily defined by the number, because we started using the h2g2 database on the Ford Prefect site, so visitors to that got assigned low(ish) numbers. And many numbers aren't activated because people typed in the wrong email address and weren't able to activate that account.
We also did some playing round with numbers just before launch so that nobody has a number < 10000 except us. And you might notice that no researchers have 42000-42999 numbers...

Spoil sports! Will have to go see who has the other low one.

Can't decide whether I would prefer to have 10,000 or 42,000. On the whole I guess I would prefer to have 101 but that's another story...

You know, I think I did go looking to see who R42000 was, but I just figured that they hadn't done anything yet with their page. I didn't have the time to look through the other 998, though.

That'd be 999 still, wouldn't it? Whoopsy.
I should've said, "..but I didn't look for the rest." Oh well.
