Sho - employed again! Started conversation Jun 5, 2005
Finally, after reading whichever convo it was (was it the 'Hoo has been banned' thread?) where Jim Lynn tweaked something about jumping to the first unread post... anyhoo.
After seeing people extolling the Brunel virtues, and having found out that there is a separate, pop-up, My Conversations window...
I have bid a fond farewell to Goo and have jumped into Brunel.
It doesn't have the style that Goo had, and I don't like the green colour (I understand you could change it, but all that hexidecimal talk makes my eyes glaze over)
Oh, and smilies when you're replying to messages.
HOW COME NOBODY TOLD ME ABOUT THIS?
So long, Goo. It was nice.

I knew about Brunel, but prefer Alabaster.
Apparently Brunel is very good for writing entries.

I've always used Goo. The other two don't sit so well on my eyes, although I do like that one which has the conversations at the top (I get so fed up of scrolling down my page all the time). It has also meant that I have had to learn the smileys off by heart (Not all of 'em, obviously)

I'm forcing myself to get used to Brunel.
It's harsh, I know, but I like the features.
But I prefer the whole look/feel of Goo (although I wish they'd kept Don't Panic instead of Help! - I don't mind it so much in this skin)
At least I'm not using Alabaster. Bleuch!

I'm pretty sure you can use the My Conversations pop up in Goo sa well.
I've just changed from Brunel back to Goo. The only thing I miss is the conversations being at the top of the page, and the status of entries at the top of pages.
Otherwise it's lovely blue Goo for me!

I save my "list of conversations" page in my favorites.
It is the page I usually got to first, I check my own front page later.
I am not sure if that will help you any since we all have different browsers.I have used all skins but always return to goo which is best on my eyes.

I'm really missing Goo. I'm using my built in AOL browser because the others make my ancient, creaking PC crash.
I might the My Conversations thing, because I really do miss my Goo.

aol is what I have, those favorites at the top are very handy. I have my page on one and my posts page on anotherso I do not even have to open a folder. You could also make it your start-up page if you really want to get there fast!
I tried them all but Goo is for meI always go back.

"HOW COME NOBODY TOLD ME ABOUT THIS"
I didn't know.
I'm a goo-lover and proud of it. Nothing or nobody is getting me out of glorious blue goo.
I remember the first blue goo I ever saw at Mina's house.
Up till then I'd been posting on black goo (wonky monitor) I just thought it was a really dark blue
Alab*ster ~shudder~
I only load Brunel when I want to print out an entry.

Yay! Glad you are happy in Goo again Sho.
I have my page as a little house and my postings as a book

I have my page as the (yep, it looks a bit like that) and my convos as a speech bubble
very happy - I much prefer light <a href="http://www.ntsearch.com/search.php?q=writing&v=56">writing against a dark background
thanks for the tips!
