h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

So, yesterday (24th May) was Bob Dylan's birthday.

I do like his stuff, but I'm not so crazy about him that I celebrate it for any particular reason. It just so happens, however, that it is also my wedding anniversary. On 24th May 1995, at the tender age of 21, I married the

Which means that we have now been married 20 years.

And where was I? Enjoying a very very nice mean in a very nice French restaurant in your actual France. With 2 guys I work with and 4 people from one of the companys we supply (they are in France which is why we were there).

For the record I had: red snapper on duxelles toasts with gambas (enormous) and basil sauce followed by a Filet steak cooked to perfection (ie: Bleu - and such a relief not to fave to fight for it) with celeriac purée and carrot purée with Crème Brulée for afters (I can't resist that - otherwise I would have just had coffee)

The wine was great, but I don't have a clue what it was. White and light for starter and Red and fruity for main course. Yum

Got back just after lunchtime and came straight home (rather than going to the office) and tonight we have a baby sitter so can take me out to dinner.
