It's about time that Southampton got a swimming pool. I remember the
closing of the original pool and the opening of the one with flumes
that got closed down. More power for your dad for getting a new one
opened as it was ridiculouse that one had to go to Eastleigh for a
swim.

i agree its about time etc,& i remember the old lido where you could stay all day.i went along about a week after it all opened up and...what a let down.i mean my pond's bigger than the "fun pool",we wern't allowed to use the diving boards. and i got told off for diving in the deep end.
yet again Southampton gets it wrong after selling out to commercial planners with the west quay project can you remember the origanal proposal all leisure on the top floor and an open air arena all scince cut out of the new plan.
sorry to bang on but i get upset when i see one thing and the city delivers something else.
P.S can anyone reccomend a decent indian take away apart from the bangla in winchester rd?.
