I decieded yesterday do found a new discordian cabal.
That's in fact all i know about it myself.
If you like discordianism, h2g2, if you always wanted to be in a conspiracy, if you got any funky ideas or whatever, you are invited to join and build the thing with me... whatever it will be about, anyway.

I like your site! Very inspired...! Might I ask you to check out my page as well (and also read my Submitted-But-Rejected Chaos entry.)

However, I digress. As usual.
As for the New Cabal...... A Cabal of Incarnations sounds great! Now we need a name. Let's see. "The Cabal of the Incarnati Discordiae..." That's Latin for "incarnations of Discordia." Accurate and important sounding... Open for other suggestions, of course!

So far, it seems that we have a Left Ear, some Hair, and me...well, due to my name and all, I suppose I'll claim the part of Her that She is most obviously missing.... Her Mind! Hahaha!!

Well, duty calls... Man, I need an unlisted phone number...!

I really like the "Incarnati Discordiae"-Part, but I think we should keep it all in latin. Aehm, could you translate the other stuff, too? I had some latin at school, but, aeh, well, you know...
Or maybe "INCARNATI DISCORIDAE" is enough of a name ?

Have a look at my updated page, I decieded to use it as the main temple of the new cabal, untill somebody got a better place for this, perhaps something with lots of ornaments and statues and stuff...

aaeh... I'm from germany (but that isn't my fault nor anyones fault at all), so I didn't get what the sentence "Twist my arm into it, you numinous bugger" is supposed to mean. Anyway, it sounds pretty good. I think I will take it and say it everytime I don't know anthing else to say, which is quite often. Might be a good way to cause confusion.

Ok, let's see here... (checks handy Latin Dictionary, having forgotten most of the language over time...) All I need to do is translate "Cabal," and put "Incarnati" in the genitive possessive case.
Well drat! This is not working out as I had planned! (Nothing ever does!) "Cabal" is not in the dictionary. We could cheat a little and use the word for church, which is "Ecclesia." That makes us the....

So sorry about that.

"Twist my arm into it..." It's a phrase of exasperation (rolled eyes and all) which basically means.."Fine..force me into it.." I was being sarcastic, sooo...

"...you numinous bugger".. I'm a U.S. citizen.. but I'm awfully fond of a British author by the name of Terry Pratchett. He uses a lot of British slang in his work.. and "bugger" is slang for.. well.. um. I don't feel quite comfortable explaining that, I'd suggest you hunt down a Brit to explain.
Numinous is just a simply wonderful(in my opinion) word which means that which inspires a feeling of spiritual awe.
It's one of my favorite words.

I read almost all of his books, some in german, some in english... so I know the word 'bugger', but numinous... The word isn't in my dictonary, no good dictonary, I guess.

Anywho, numinous is a very rarely used word..I've seen it used.. thrice in all of the books I've read. And trust me, I've read a lot.

Would be pretty cool to tell him... anyway, do you know a way to contact him ? I could go through l-space... if I manage to find a way in. Hm, there is this strange little bookshop in an old house in Wiesbaden, I'll have a look at it tomorrow...

Yesterday I used the sentence "Twist my..." when my sister phoned. She was quite confused, as I expected. However, when I tried to explain her what it means and where I got it from, she got even more confused 'cause she is no discordian and she doesn't spend any time in the net. However, she reads a lot of Pratchett.

I can look around and find out. Probably usenet could lead to some things..
