*the word 'yellow' wandered through his head looking for something to attach itself to* Or something like that
Isn't it great! A whole world where people know about Hitchhiker's Guide. Where I can casually refer to black coffee that's the color of Hotblack Desiato's stunt-ship on one of my pages and people know what I'm talking about
Welcome to h2g2! Just happened to be wandering by and decided to say Hi. Feel free to drop by my home by clicking on my name above, or reply to this message if you have any questions, or just want to say Hi, back! Have fun!

Thank you for the nice welcome.
I have tried (without any luck) to push the world by Douglas Adams on to some of my friends, but no-one seem to care just how big the Universe is (and it's BIG) - That's why a small gesture like "Yellow" just warms my heart.
Please keep in touch

I'm glad you enjoyed the greeting!
There are a whole bunch of people here who care just how big the Universe is.
I've discovered that it's a pretty amazingly huge place right here in h2g2. Take your time and get comfortable here, but if you need some ideas of places to go, I'll be happy to help.
The Aroma Café is a delightful and comfortable place to get a cup of coffee or tea, and a donut with some friendly folks -- I hang out there a lot. http://www.h2g2.com/A202924
I'm also putting together a list of some useful links and interesting places http://www.h2g2.com/A344756
Above all, don't panic! http://www.h2g2.com/A345601
and if you get confused, just put this in your ear!
