Nice going, man.... Augustiner really rules (NOT Edelstoff), but mentioning the one and only beer in Munich in one sentence with stuff like Schaufel-Bier..... that´s a dead give away that you are not born in Munich. OK would have been worse if you had mentioned Lätschenbräu-Bier 
; Nah just kidding. Augustiner rocks! is basically all I wanted to say....

well I didn´t mention spaten (I guess you meant it by schaufel beer) at all.
I don´t understand why so many people don´t like it - I do like it although I prefer August. NOT Edelstoff (I agree there with you) it causes the worst hangovers one can imagine and isn´t really tasty.
I´m going to write an entry dealing with Munich´s breweries. I need some help considering the "hard" facts and would be pleased if you helped me.

Which breweries are you considering? Just the large ones? Or all the smaller ones, surrounding Munich as well?

Glad to see some other Munich resident....
I am also a 'Zuagroasta' with some experience on local brews, and offering advice on anything (except Löwenbräu Weizen which I don't consider a beer at all), including the Forschungsbrauerei
