What a great page - I looked at the source and see you have used flash. Looks good.
All this I didn't spot any scripting, although I only had a quick look - Thats good because soon h2g2 are dropping the ability to use scripts.
Just thought I'd pop in and say what a great page.

I know you recommend GuideML but does not really give me as much control as I was looking for (one of those die-hard hand-coders I am afraid). The Flash was an experiment more than anything just to check it would work as I was thinking about running a completly flash based page, but obvioulsy the problem with that is the plugin requirement and the fact the bulk of my page would be offsite.
I have avoided scripting as it will just slow things down (and I am only so-so at writing it), also didn't use java support for the flash file either as it can create speed problems.
Anyway glad you like it

Well, I think you have the right balance and hope to see more pages of this nature - It sure adds to h2g2, I dont get surprised very often

No worries, everybody's ego needs polishing once in a while.
Although your balding head and beard do create another option in that I am actually in the grip of a schizophrenic episode and talking to myself.
