Well I've had a walk around and I'm very impressed with the clever people, I'm tickled pink about the humorous ones and I have shared quite a bit of sadness with some others. I say shared but you can only relate to yourself I think. Let's just say I think I understand.
I feel as though I could do with Harry the first team captain to be sent for to show me around, you know, show me all the wrinkles, where to eat, who not to row with, that sort of thing. Then he would depart saying, "Hey, new boy, if you need any help you know where I am". A bit fanciful what! I went to a council school where you had to learn to pick your teeth up without using your hands!
If you see me in a corridor please talk to me, chances are I'll be lost you see. I'm the one wearing spats!
PS: I'm lossed withowt a spall chequer!

Just a litle help you asked for so you dont have to grit your teeth.
I am vegiman and have around on site for about a year now. If it is the friendly type of people you are looking for - You have found them - This must be one of the most friendly sites on the internet. The natives dont bite.
The site might be running a bit slow from time to time, there are a lot of new people login in as Douglas Adams (DNA) is on a publicity tour. It will speed up when things settle down a bit.
If you want any help just ask and I try and will find an answer for you, although I doubt if it will be 42
The first thing I suggest you do is go to the front page ( http://www.h2g2.com ) and put the 'who is on line link' on your home page.
