I've done a quick search now and found this : A361414

I don't think you have to be a professional programmer to be a webmaster according to what the entry says, but you have to have a PC and learn a few HTML skills

ive only one more question how do i ad a short cut to my desk top for this site as i think im gonna need it <<< for your efforts thanks again

Right click the mouse anywhere on the desktop away from existing icons and highlight then click on 'create shortcut', then put in h2g2 address, click ok.

what address do i use for h2g2 or do i type h2 g2 only ??? oops sorry i must seem really stupid

It depends, if you want a short cut to the frontpage, you'd have to put:

http://www.h2g2.com

tp your personal space you have to take:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/U3759804

Btw, why don't you just add the site you want the short cut to to your favourites and then click the option to access it offline ? I think this will then link the page to your PC with an icon
