Got up to see the geese I could hear since there seemed to be a lot of them, drew the curtains and looked straight into a great white-gold sun. The fields were frost covered and slightly misty, the sky was pastel cream, pink and blue, and a line of geese flew straight through the sun. Classic.

Hello Waz! Would be nice if you could make a painting of it!

Sounds like an ET moment but with the sun. It is beautiful here too, though cold.
I agree a painting would be nice. I don't suppose you managed a photo. These things happen with no notice.

I think a photo would not do the scene justice! Now, if one could 'fix' it in one's mind and create and impressionist-style painting ...

Oh I don't know, Willem. I joined a photography site recently and some of the photographers there are astonishing. Way beyond my capability though. And I never learnt to paint.
However, you don't need chocolate box sunrises for gorgeous stuff. Last week I found a fantastic photo of a blue cabbage. Then I saw one in Tesco, so I bought it and have been photo'ing it .
