The Olympic torch may no longer represent anything meaningful about human aspirations, sporting or otherwise, but a flame in a box on a bus is the perfect symbol for today's Metropolitan Police Marathon.

I signed this. It might help. The fiasco in London did no-one any good, other than putting the issue at the top of the News running order.

Good stuff! The response to this petition has been wonderful.
Sadly, the people in Tibet don't get much attention from the outside world, except from a relatively small but active core of supporters, unless something like the torch relay protests takes place. Normally, the news media isn't very interested in covering human rights.
