I've just read 'God Bless You Dr Kevorkian', by Kurt Vonnegut. This is a deceptively simple little book that could easily be mis-shelved in the children's section. This is vintage Vonnegut: humanist philosophy that mocks our pretensions, forgives us our sins, and makes us feel alright about the world again... All in a package that can be read before the bath water gets cold.

Sounds like a good read. Hi again, it's alicat from welland. What a wonderful winter and spring, eh? There's a really good party going on at the Sheraton Fallsview Hotel, in Niagara Falls. I can find the link if you'd like. It started out as a wonderful feat of strength by a prehistoric fish. (Coelacanth) It has turned into a 2 week party, with everyone watching the Falls from a web cam. If you're interested, let me know. By the way, Happy April Fools.

Happy April Fools (aka 'Management Day")!
It has been a very mild winter and, so far, a very pleasant Spring. I only hope we don't end up paying for it with another dry summer like the past two. Coelacanth's feat of strength sounds intriguing; what's that about? Not a Festivus feat of strength, was it?

LOL No, not a Festivus for the rest of us. (I love that show) This is the third time today that I've typed out a response and forgotten to post it. I type with only two fingers, so it's VERY aggravating. Must be having too much fun. LOL Anyway, Coely decided to swim UP Niagara Falls. She trained for a week (no alcohol!) and took bets. She accomplished this amazing feat and now we're celebrating at the Sheraton Fallsview. She has booked two floors until the 16th (my REAL birthday) I'm going to go there on the 16th and wave at the web cams. at a specified time. We're trying for some kind of time/space aberration thingy. URL http://www.fallsview.com/English/pages/fallscam.shtml I don't know if I did that right, but that's the sight.

You got it, John. I'm trying to work out a time to accomodate our UK friends and my laziness on Sunday. The party at the Sheraton, I believe, is http://www.h2g2.com/forumframe.cgi?forum=188878&thread=45311 I hope that's right. I'm pretty hopeless still, as far as computers go. I would love to see you there. We're currently in the Stanley's Lounge, drinking and singing. Please join us.

Monsy does a very good job with the 1-2-1 interviews. I find the h2g2 community is remarkably full of people like that. Some of them have written very heartwarming and inspirational things for the Tibetan Dugout.

I think that everything that's meant to be, will be. Hi AA. I came to you, through many sources, a few weeks ago. You have many admirers. There's a party going on right now that you may like to visit. Everyone that's been there have been of pure heart and love. I believe we all have a destiny that involves all of us. I'm sure that, around the world, similar forces are joining together.

Speaking words of wisdom... Amen, John.
Could you and your wife make it to the falls on the 16th? And your kids, of course. They will love my dogs.

Even better. The dogs can stay home. There seems to be a lovely bar. Virtually, anyway. The cameras on the falls and the walkway seem to be the only ones that are updated regularly. We can wave at that one. I've promised Coely my birthday wish, plus a Loonie and a Twoonie wish in the Falls. I figure that should be good for her wish. Let me know if you can make it (and a time)
