If I were a teacher, that would be just the sort of project I would assign my class... not to actually plant the trees, of course, except in regions where rugby players are puny, anaemic, and hyper-sensitive to criticism.
I imagine it would be an astonishingly high number, if the trees were permitted to grow as they are naturally inclined to and not in the "you stand there and you stand over there..." sort of pattern that is popular in parks.
