Hi there. Always pleased to meet another friendly horse. Welcome to h2g2. Have you been here long, and how did you find your way here, if I may ask?

Please feel free to drop by my stable some time.

Dropped by - cool stable!

Howdy back and thanks for the Welcome. Been hanging around a whole week or two, guess that makes me a Newbie don't it?

Found this place you refer to as 'here' one day surfing on the topic of one of my favourite biographers - Douglas Adams.

I plan to update my own place as time passes so keep an eye open if you are interested.

Gotta gallop now - off to generate some financial security.

Have a great one!

Hay there Pegasus. smiley - smiley

How goes it. Been running around enjoying life, doing what I want as much as possible.

The real challenge is figureing out the 'what I want' part. I am trying to figure out what it is that I really like to do (actually I am pretty clear on what that is). Much of what I read suggests that if you do what you love than everything else takes care of itself - including financial security.

After 30 some odd years of trying to do what I thought I 'should' be doing (based on what other people told me I should do, of course) I found it most challenging to figure out what it is that I want to do. The next challenge is actually doing it.

Anyhow this is probably more than you wanted to here about me.

Drop (fly?) by anytime.

Have a good one.

Hay there Pegasus, shove over, let a guy have a little room to stick his nose in edgewise. Great to see you again.

How you doing anyway, isn't this great. That alicat is wonderful.

Many thanks to her.

Just read a great article (see h2g2 title page) on how to perform artificial respiration and CPR on a cat. Hopefully never have a need for it here.

Alicat make sure you chew your mice well before swallowing cause the instructions were for humans preforming AR and CPR on a cat. I'm afraid my hooves are a little big to do some of the things suggested in that article. smiley - smileysmiley - smiley

*WS notes that he seems to have manifested a feedroom and stable, promply proceeds to point out that being a Wild Stallion, the stable is for comfort and a place out of the weather and no locks are to be seen anywhere.*

Have either of you read the book/autobiography by Monty Roberts "The Man Who Listens to Horses"? I understand he was the inspiration for the movie "The Horse Whisperer". A wonderful movie even if rather disturbing in places.

Nice to see humans trying to understand us.

smiley - smileysmiley - winkeye

Now if all humans would only learn to understand cats what a wonderful world this would be.

I understand it was refuted that Monty Roberts was the inspiration for the Robert Redford film. There was someone else cited, but as they haven't courted the media so much, the name escapes me.smiley - bigeyes

Monty may have some ideas right, but anyone who's been around horses enough, and taken the trouble to get to know them, will already have learnt many of his 'techniques' without even realising.

But I won't go on...

Nice stable WS. Say... you weren't 'tamed' by someone who's initials are MR were you...?smiley - winkeye
