A Conversation for Love

The big question is: Is the small bout of love worth the lifetime of depression after the breakup?

If the high point is greater than the lowest point of the low then surely it is worth it.

Better to have loved and lost than not at all in my experience, you only end up endlessly wondering 'what if'. Shakespere was onto something there....

tend to differ.
if the high point is really high but the rest not really, whereas the depressions sucks bigtime all the time, although slightly less in magnitude than the high point of love then it was not worth it. - h

I am curious as two why you are in a relationship if the love bouts are so small in preportion...
And If the love shared is so ungratifyingly marvellous then why is splitting such a chore.
Feeling is Grand... it is cellebration of life.
no one can ever "hurt" you, you can merely allow someone to wrip your guts out.
It's about knowledge and self control and I advise that any poor life form who launches themselves into a state of affection be well mastered in these two arts first.

I think you're right. Love is a big bit of stuff and nonsense. You fall, you feel sick, you have a few embarrassing sticky moments which only results in a few minutes of extreme pleasure. Then it becomes boring and sour, you can't face the morning breath or dirty socks anymore - dump the partner= spend years in misery remembering the 10 good things you had with them - mind you the nights of single misery is a good excuse for vast chocolate consumption. Don't bother, be a one night stand jockey, ride what you fancy and keep your pride intact!
