Erm as the title would suggest I think you mean synonym, not acronym. Other than that you are right, however hicks and rednecks in general should either be denied weaponry (including anything they could accidentally have someones eyes out with).
One possible advantage of hicks with guns is if you see one you can shoot them and claim self defence.
Statistics also show that the number of rednecks unable to shoot straight and/or hold a gun due to extent of webbing from inbrreding is on the rise. So you never know give it ten years and the problem may go away on its own!
