Well as you suggested to me last night, ring the girls and see how they'd feel if you said you couldn't go

Does your school district have an education foundation? In my District I'm an ex-oficio member of our Foundation's board of directors. Since you *are* willing to pony up some of the cash - I'm sure a Foundation (if you've got one) would be willing to spring for the rest.
If you don't have a foundation (your district sucks), but you could try asking the principal for help or doing a quickie fund-raiser or something.
Or how about the Rotary Club or Lions Club or Kiwanis Club? They might be willing to help sponsor you, especially if you're willing to spend some of your own dough.
If all else fails, I'll help Krissy give your drama 'teacher' a killer wedgie!

I was dragged down to Guidance (those people who sit in offices but no one knows what they do) so I could be given scholarship forms for the Lions and Kiwanis clubs. Seemed odd, especially as I'd gotten a copy of each yesterday. Anyway, they'd give me money?
I like that...
*thinks of calling Beth who's in the school version of the rotary club and the local Rotary Club guy goes to all their meetings*

I take it then that your school district doesn't have an educational foundation?
Service Clubs like Rotary do often give money to students for projects like this. I used to be in the Kiwanis Club and we would help kids with stuff like this....
Good luck!!
BTW: The wedgie offer still stands!

Thank you Jimi.
I've never heard of an educational foundation, and our school district definitely sucks, so probably not but I'm gonna check anyway.
