Lucky you, back in the land of khondes, braiis & wonderful birds & beasties!
I spent two great years in Malawi, got the smell of Africa I'm afraid. Also been to the Middle East (hmm) Pakistan (fascinating, especially Northern parts; but politically dodgy in the extreme) & on a small Greek island (heavenly till the summer) Now I'm in South West France, which is a lovely place, not as extreme as the rest of course, but....
I'd love to hear about your travels, I can witter away for hours as anyone who knows me will confirm! Limited at present by a dodgy internet connection, but once this gets solved, I'll be on more often.
Do have a lurk on my space & say hello; most of my mates pop into the latest "eyes" thread on my journal space.

How are you on this fine new day?
I have just been looking around your space which i found very interesting. I need to go back to see the eyes link but i had a look at tthe latest HOOTOO page which left me wondering if you are a freelance journalist irl?
I see you are also involved with the post, is Shazz still a part of that team i wonder.
You are clearly a well travelled person and as much as i am very happy to share some of my travel adventures with you i am equally interested in hearing yours.
Did Africa get 'under your skin'. It did mine, i originally went for a two week holiday and stayed 11 months that first time, and then after a bit of toing and froing, i have been living there for about 18 of the lasy 22 years.
Wildlife photography is a passion of mine, and generally spending time in the bush. I am seriously considering building or buying myself a small bush lodge when i go back and living somewhere in the Limpopo Province, possibly even on the Mozambique side of the Kruger, although if that were the case (something i will definitely look at first)i would move to the coast somewhere north of Maputo..
Is it work that takes you on your travels?
