I'm tempted to let this one run, Rumplestiltskin-like. Nothing to do with anything digital/technological/cryptological. It's what my signed name looks like. When I was in school, we had a supply teacher taking a class. She started by handing back marked homework to us, by reading out the name at the top of the sheet. When she came to mine, she said, 'Who's this nine eight-hundred?'.
Not the last time it's happened. One of my best friends continues to call me 'eight-hundred', but I wish she'd just use 'nine'.
