Hi, I was just passing and couldn't help noticing Mersea Island. I once went to a WOMAD festival there about oh 14 years ago - if it's the one in Essex. Is it boring out there?

Ok steady on, I heard you the first time. No offence but when I was there the whole place appeared to be about 10 houses and errr...that was it. Plus you could only get on or off at certain times. How much has it changed.

Mersea Island has changed a lot in the last 14 years. I have only lived here for 7 years but there is far more than ten houses. I live down The road named Empress Avenue do you know it?

Oh that. My brother (Snowman) keeps saying he is going to make me eat dog biscuits but considering he hasn't got the time or the money to this at the moment he probaly never will. I think he just wrote that on his site to get everyones attention and I just went a long with it.

Tht's a relief then. No I don't know Empress Avenue. The festival was on a small scout campsite that faced the river. It was built for about a hundred or so scouts but about 5,000 world music fans turned up!!! It also rained a lot as I recall. Is the campsite still there?

There is so many campsites on Mersea, Waldagraves and East Mersea Youth Camp are just naming two of the campsites on Mersea. I don't know if any of them are or were scout campsites.
