An intersting variation is to replace the matress with a lorry innertube, and aim it down a steep hill, It's almost as soft and a lot faster. You should still feel completely out of control though.

A new variety I have heard rumours of involves a reebok exercise ball and a staircase - I have yet to see it in action but if it's true expect A&E to be extra busy in the near future
