Always a day late & a million dollars short....I JUST deleted the stars, etc. I tried to log on to h2g2 today & everything was soooo slow, I said heck w/it it...cleaned a few cookies on Mac & shut it down.
An h2g2 friend called to tell me to get my butt back on line as THEY (who are they anyway?!? I've always wondered) are having a BD party for me, & I'm 'bout the only one not showing up, *giggle* I wondered whay I've been getting E's from everyone, they must be trying to wet me h2g2 whistle I turn 44 on the 9th, whatever day that is.
I'm taking a few days off work. I always buy myself a holiday gift...
this year, I bought abook (I love hard cover) it's Anne Rice's newest, titled: MERRICK. I haven't read a novel in years....I love facts....but I think I could use a nice vacation. So, I'll go where the book takes me. And I'll party w/my h2g2 friends. I have a nice Merlot in the fridge. Bear dosen't like it *pity* So, I'll just have to manage to drink it all by myself.
He finally got a new job....the car broke down on his 3rd day....a good friend of mine works there & helped Bear by loaning him $$$ to buy spark plugs..he barely made it home & we finally fot my old Caddy (1980) running so he can get to work. He'll have to stop & buy plates for it....hope he's not caught on the way. The Higher Power(s) has one Hell of a sense of humor!!!!! AHH!

I've had to keep the phone line open as my dad was dying (again) he's fine (again) 83 & has WAY outlived all his drinking pals!

Not to worry about the stars, I looked a lot harder and I found them. I was wanting them to give to a friend, his wife has given him a telescope for Christmas, so I thought I would show him what he was suppose to look for.

These computers are marvellous things and the internet is amazing. But when the bloody puter works slow, or the server wont let you in, it can be frustrating and infuriating. Mine won't let me in to Ancient Sites, hasn't done for 2 days and I have some things I want to do in there.

I suppose I could always do some work.

How are you? How was your Christmas and New Year?
Mine was very quiet and relaxed I had my mum and sister for Christmas at my place (as well as my sons and husband) and we had a really good Christmas no pressure and we went shopping for the specials on boxing day.

Now I am back at work and got to get into the swing of things again, the time off is just not long enough.

Hi Moondancer!!! Do you think it odd that the fellow & I are both named VAL?!? (Epson finally replaced my printer with one that actualy works!!! So I made a couple prints of 'The Moon'.) He would be the thrid Val I've known of who are male. (I had an interesting time with Val Kilmer....I had no idea who he WAS at the time....imagine my surprise!! *sigh*)

I had a miscarriage Christmas Eve.... & I (actually) blistered my butt by sleeping ON a heating pad that night!!! My back had spasms...so I put the pad on the small of my back & my mother, who's been dead since '92 woke me by digging her thumb into my shoulder...demanding I "get my ass out of the bed right NOW!" I jumped up & WATER ran down my rear & back of my leg! When I looked in the mirror, there were two large blisters on my right buttock & I had torn open the other when I arose so quickly! The next day there were two more blisters! They are STILL not healed! The Dr. gave me a shot of demerol & sent me home.....Bear was driving...of course. He's adjusted my meds & before long I will feel fairly well again!

Did I tell you my GOOD news? I don't think I have...I won a 2000square foot lot on a resort property in Mexico!!! Right on the Ocean....use of a private beach that the actual resort hotel & shopping mall is built on! Tomorrow I will be meeting w/a man who wants to buy a house I have for sale....I'd love to take that money & build a cottage on that lot! At first I could rent it out as a vacation spot...make a bit of money back, hopefully...then vacation there myself during Winters!! I had come very close to divorcing Bear......this...THIS IS his very last chance to make out marriage work! I am a good wife.....he was sooooo good to me until the DAY (the very day) we married. Then he changed. It's like: I won the prize....I don't need to do anything else.) I may just end up living in Mexico for the last part of my life. The 1st thought I had was....why would I want to live there? Mexicans die trying to get put of Mexico every year....then it occured to me, the ones who try to enter the States don't live at resorts!

I haven't been to Acient Sites in a loooong time...I'm going to switch internet carriers....the gte. one I now use is $19.95 per month & only 5 hours access per day. My bank offers 1st 2 months free....then $19.95 per month for unlimited access!
That's more for me!

I am very sorry to hear you lost your baby, and I hope you are fit and will again soon.

I am delighted to hear about you win though, It doesn't matter where you are on the internet you could be on the moon for all it matters on here but it is much better if you have an ocean of your doorstep. This comes from a woman who lives in a country where 90% of the population is within one hour of the beach.

Is it big enough to have people stay, or allow room for tents in the back yard we could come and visit you in your Mexican hideaway If you want us.

I didn't know your name was Val, this guy look very similar to Val Kilmer, I may be being fanciful, but what the hell we are on cyber we can do and be anything.

I have another friend who calls himself Val (Valius) that is his AS name and he believes that he was a Roman solider of that name in the year 324 I think. Any way this is his believe and it is very real to him so I definitely would not doubt it.

Wish you all the best success with your house selling, I am hoping the sale of my shop will go through this week, but definitely this month, then I can get on with a life.

Thanks Moondancer...your kind words were very thoughtful & really help. My husband is on VERY thin ice....he never once asked if I was alright or needed to go to the Dr. & didn't even give me a Christmas gift! I'm NOT materialistic...but it was very hurtful! He said he really didn't have time to shop. I replied, "Of course you didn't. After all you only had 365 days notice." I didn't go w/him when he took his family their gifts & I didn't go for New Years dinner there either. I know it takes two for a marriage to work....I am doing amazing things to make this man happy....WAY above the call of duty...
EVERYONE...even my Dr. told me to kick him to the curb. Of all the things I've ever done in my life...why did I go & marry him?!?

When I do get a cottage on the beach front property, I will have a spare room...knowing me though there won't be room for a guest there.....but the tent idea is GREAT!!! And even before I build, campers & trailers are allowed there too! So, if you ever want to take a vacation to Mexico....you're welcome to go there & camp!!! Ther resort has a mini mall in it, from what I understand! I have ALWAYS wanted to live on the Ocean....Bear will never....he has said that we could rent out the cottage throughout the year & I could live there in the Winter....I really HATE the cold & the cold dosen't like me...not one bit! If I did start staying there.....I might learn my way around enough to be comfy living there full time & writting all those books waiting in the back of my ming to 'get out'!!!!!

I don't mind how long it takes for you to come back and answer, I know sometimes the internet is a small priority. And I am glad we worked about the moon carving. The women I love, I love them as sisters, people who you can talk with and share with and cry with. And be there to just put an arm around you.

I understand with you about the present, it is not the gift but the fact that he thought about you enough to take the time to get something. Sometimes even a bunch of flower is all it needs.

I have the advantage in that the guys I cyber with are all overseas, except for one and I would not tell about him on here.
That way I don't have to be careful that I don't tell them where I live.
But I have to admit some days it puts the cream on life, to find a man that can make me laugh and not have to wash his sox or cook his dinner wow.
