h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Well, I finally have my dream home. I 'lovingly' refer to it as my "nightmare home". I do have most of the things I wanted in a life long 'nest'. However, for reasons I won't go into right now, I'm not living in my favorite part of the US. It's what I call;"One of those:
'Oh Well' situations".
I've just come in from the garage. I've been playing with all the little Easter kittiens. Some folks expect candy or eggs at Easter...
I can always count on 'the girls' to deliver, both literally and figuratively speaking.
The time of the Season has arrived that I have awaited since last Fall. Time to re-open the swimming pool. I agree with those wo say:
I'm 'lucky' to have a pool. Here's another; however. The maintainance of a nice pool can be maddening! Take water out. Ad just the right amount of this. Oh...read it wrong? Not to worry, just empty the entire pool and start over again! Besides, the Rural Water Athurity probably needs the money more than me anyway.
The taxes are a killer. I must be nuts or something...I bought land,
built a cabin on it. And I still have to pay a bunch of money monthly?!? Am I stupid? I thought once you bought your own place you get to stop paying rent? It almost seems like a better deal to rent a house. It may not be exactly what you want. and any allowable changes you make would have to stay if you move...but when you rent and something 'goes to Hell in a Handbasket', you just pick up the tele and call the landlady/lord.
I just don't get it.

OH WELL, SINCE NOBODY SEEMS TO CARE, I'LL JUST TALK TO MYSELF. IN A FEW HOURS I'LL BE OUT PLANTING ALL THE PRETTIES THAT WERE TO HAVE BEEN PLANTED WEEKS AGO. I SAY...IF THE URGE STRIKES TO GET BUSY...JUST SIT DOWN & HOLD TIGHT, IT'S SURE TO PASS. WHY DO TODAY WHAT YOU CAN PUT OFF UNTIL THE VERY LAST MOMENT?!?
I HAVE 50 BLACK WALNUT TREES TO PLANT AROUND THE EDGE OF MY WOODS. IN
ABOUT 25 YEARS THEY, ALONG WITH ALL THE REST OF THE WALNUT TREES, CAN BE HARVESTED FOR A HEFTY PROFIT. I'M PUTTING THEM IN THE WETLAND AREA.
THERE THEY CAN FEAST ON THE RICH DARK SOIL. THESE TYPES OF TREES ARE QUIET GREEDY. THEY'LL SUCK THE LIFE OUT OF ANYTHING YOU TRY TO PLANT NEAR THEM.
MY NEIGHBORS TO THE NORTH KEEP TRYING TO BUY UP ALL MY LAND FOR THEIR HORSES. I'VE MADE A NICE LITTLE HAUL FROM SOME LAND I DID'NT EVEN REALIZE WAS MINE! BUT I INTEND TO KEEP THE REST. I'M DOWN TO JUST SEVEN ACHERS NOW. THAT'S MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR ALOT OF WILD LIFE TO BE SAFE FROM THE HUNTERS. I'M FREALESS ABOUT PROTECTING THE CRITTERS THAT ROAM THE LAND FREELY. I HAVE EVERYTHING FROM WILD TURKEYS (NOT THE BRIGHTEST BIRD ON THIS PLANET) TO BEAUTIFUL GREAT BLUE HERONS THAT WERE NESTING HERE BEFORE I BOUGHT THE LAND IN 1996. DEER COME WITHIN FEET OF THE CABIN. I SING TO THEM & THEY TURN THEIR LOVELY HEADS & TRY
TO UNDERSTAND WHAT MANNER OF CREATURE I MIGHT BE. FOX, WEASEL, & COON
SHARE THE CAT'S FOOD IN THE GARAGE. (FRIENDS CALL ME MOTHER EARTH) I
ADORE ANIMALS. I'M EVEN WORKING ON OVERCOMING MY SILLY FEAR OF SNAKES!
ONE ROAD OVER THERE'S AN ELK RANCH. ON THE ROAD TO THE NORTH THEY HAVE LAMAS AND ALL TYPES OF EXOTIC FOWL. THE ONLY WAY I COULD TRUELY ENJOY THIS PLACE MORE WAS IF I WERE ABLE TO GO TO THE MOUNTIANS ONE DAY AND THE OCEAN THE NEXT. I'M BLESSED TO HAVE SPENT MUCH TIME IN BOTH AREAS
PERHAPS IN MY NEXT LIFE CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ALLOW ME TO LIVE IN SUCH A PLACE! FOR NOW, THIS LIFE, I'M FILLED WITH HAPPINESS!

Sorry hubby says unless you're 'fixed' ya' gotta' go!!! 34 cats is way too many!!! Or is it 37?!? We were lucky, so far we've found homes for 15 or 16!!! (but I wanted Tiger Woods back...I went three times back calling her-but she did'nt come she always came when I called her! she must be having a wonderful new adventure!!! )

Sorry Pandora, I don't play cards much, and I've NEVER played Euchre, so I'm out also. I'm more into chess, and I play a lot of Scrabble too. My favorite game is Abalone, which I've found a place to play online, but nobody is ever there. Boy am I tired, you can tell 'cause I'm rambling. See you in the funny pages!!

I'll be looking for your picture I love chess. Several friends went to work in Texas. They missed playing with me so much, we had a game by phone! That became costly real quick. So, they flew me down & I got a 24 hr tournament going!It lasted nearly a week! I kept stepping out w/a Texas Ranger I'd met I also am a Scrabble player
of course I keep my 'word speller' handy! I absolutely adore upwards!
Ever play? It's like Scrabble, but you can make words on top of other words, as long as you use a letter or more from the original word. That's what we do here on cold days. Well...one of the things anyway
