I've just seen your fine entry on Lyocell, which is about to turn up in our In-boxes, and the first couple of paragraphs seem to be rather similar to a Girl Called Ben's entry on Viscose (http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A593732).

I assume you wrote this in partnership with her (which is probably why Lochinvar, the Sub, has added her name to the list of Researchers), but we can't really have two Edited Guide Entries starting off so similarly. Would you mind of we changed the start - or would you like to suggest an alternative couple of paras?

Actually, I just *nicked* the intro, lock stock and barrel. I read the viscose entry, liked it, suggested to Ben that a follow up article on Lyocell would be in order, and she said "true, so you write it!" or words to that effect, so I did.

Given that what she'd written inspired this entry very directly, I deliberately copied and slightly altered the opening paragraph as a sort of "tribute/thank you", and linked to the viscose entry. If you want to change it I'd have no problem, but please do leave Ben's credit on, and please preserve the link to viscose - I think it's important.

Any chance of a look at the changed version before it goes up? Just to check the facts...

Ah - I thought it was something like that.

We would prefer something original for this new entry, to be honest, and I'm sure you can come up with something comparably amusing. I'll direct Lochinvar's attention to this thread and see if you can't come to an agreement on another start.
