Well i really hope you don't claim to speak...ahem "il Malti"...because you can't! its not il as il - is the definite article and it is therefore not "you speak THE Maltese", but simply, tikelma Malti ! Also the nougat so traditionally found in Malta is called Helwa tat-torte (one L, and a bit more) Helwa as a word means "sweet".
i really don't want to nitpick but oliver reid died in the fishing village of Mellieha, also known for its huge villas overlooking the sea. the undercover story is excess gozotan wine but thats all just speculation!
other than that i totally agree about the monti....its a pretty amazing place to visit! and valletta is rather unique....did you know that the city design was originally based on N.Y.?

while I am grateful for your corrections to my pidgin Maltese, I am of Maltese descent and did live there. Ollie died in valletta friend, i am sorry. the bar is there and they have photographic evidence of his last night on earth.
