Went to see the Saw Doctors in concert last night.

To say they were utterly fantastic is the understatement of the year. Two-and-a-half hours of superb entertainment, cracking songs and other superlatives.

My ears are still ringing... My own fault I suppose. It's what you get from being right at the front, three yards from a speaker.

And I have a signed playlist, too.

Life is good...

(I wish I was on the N-17...)

Oh, Saw Doctors, cool!! But don't tell anyone I said that

Used to get the musicians at the pub I worked in to play Saw Doctors on quiet nights. Got a Guiness poured over me for my troubles once. But hey, he sang N-17 afterwards, so it was worth it

It was indeed cool. In fact, it's now officially cool to like the Saw Doctors. My girlfriend's a dyed-in-the-wool Pulp fan, much to my dismay, but she can't wait to see them again. And she's getting very impatient waiting for their new album - due out later this year, apparently.

Any band who can get away with the line: "Get that wasp off my sandwich" deserves respect.
